The prototype of LIFE CERAM, has been shown at the 16th International Symposium on Waste Management and Landfill, held in Sardinia from 2 to 6 October.

10/10/2017: The LIFE CERAM prototype, obtained from waste generated in the ceramic manufacturing process, in the framework of the European LIFE CERAM project (LIFE12 ENV/ES/230-LIFE CERAM), has been exhibited at a major international event such as the 16th International Symposium on Waste Management and Landfill -Sardinia 2017.;

Held in Sardinia (Italy) from 2 to 6 October 2017.

This event, organized by IWWG - (International Waste Group) with the collaboration of several universities from different countries, had in its last edition, held in 2015, 730 participants from more than 70 countries.

This 2017 edition has been a celebration since it marked the 30th anniversary of this event, a reference forum for the international community in waste management and landfill since 1987.

Specifically, the LIFE CERAM product has been exhibited in an area managed by the LIFE Programme of the European Union, the funding entity of LIFE CERAM, which has been able to obtain a ceramic tile from waste generated in the ceramic manufacturing process itself, destined for urban paving.

In LIFE CERAM, which has been coordinated by the Institute of Ceramic Technology, the following companies have participated: KEROS CERÁMICA, S. A., the manufacturer of ceramic tiles; VERNÍS, S. A., the manufacturer of frits, glazes and ceramic colours; the manufacturer of machinery CHUMILLAS &TARONGI, S. L and the Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Tiles and Pavements.
